The loss of a spouse and the end of a marriage share emotional commonalities - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance in varying degrees, order, and timelines. You are where you are. We meet you there. Some people feel alone and without hope. Our Weekend Program provides a quiet space for you to share, reflect, and discover your new beginning. Reconciliation and Mass are a part of this healing weekend.

Beginning Experience was founded in 1973 by Sister Josephine Stewart at the Catholic Renewal Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Beginning Experience, Western WA prays what is commonly known as the Prayer of St. Francis:
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; and to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
