Music is an incredible gift from God that has the power to bring us into an encounter with His beauty, goodness, and truth. Saint Augustine said, "He who sings well prays twice." Sacred music has a long and beautiful history in the Catholic Church and is an important part of our liturgical celebrations.

Come and join Fr. Northrop for a silent preached retreat that will show us how music can help us on our spiritual journey to celebrate the beauty of our Catholic faith.

Saturday evening, we will have a time of prayer with music and Adoration to lift our souls to God, and to offer a gift of praise for all the goodness we have received.
Fr. James Northrop was born in Pullman, WA and grew up in Richland, WA. He attended the University of Idaho and obtained a degree in Vocal Music Education. After college he attended St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA for five years. He was ordained on June 7, 1997 by the late Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy. He thoroughly enjoys his ministry as a priest and has been an instructor for the Archdiocesan Catechetical Certification program. He enjoys conducting retreats, working on music, fishing with his family, and helping people discover the wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit.
